Notice On The Evaluation Of Scientific And Technological Achievements 2023

In order to give full play to the guiding role of scientific and technological achievements in the field of navigation, according to the “Management Measures for Science and Technology Evaluation of China Institute of Navigation” and the annual work arrangement, now the relative items are notified as follows:
1.Acceptance time: Applications for evaluation of achievements are accepted throughout the year. The evaluation of scientific and technological achievements is a paid service under the supervision and guidance of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the authority of the Ministry of Transport. China Institute of Navigation(CIN) shall examine and evaluate its scientific and technological achievements in accordance with the prescribed procedures and requirements, and shall issue the technical certificates, which can serve as the basic technical documents and basis for applying for scientific and technological awards.
2. Scope of acceptance: The evaluation of scientific and technological achievements is mainly for the application technology achievements of technology development and social welfare; and the research gains of soft science. Research institutions, colleges and universities, enterprises and individuals that have the achievements and satisfy the conditions can apply for this award. The same achievement can only be evaluated once, and no multi-unit application for evaluation.
3. Submission: According to the regulation of chapter eight of “Management Measures for Science and Technology Evaluation of China Institute of Navigation” (content can be found in the link Technology Evaluation | CIN), the application departments and applicants should submit the evaluation application of scientific and technological achievements and other supporting materials in print and electronic versions.
According to the schedule, those who plan to apply for the 2023 Science and Technology Progress Award and Maritime Technology Invention Award 2023 of China Institute of Navigation (see the link Notice on the application for Science and Technology Progress Award and Maritime Technology Invention Award 2023 of China Institute of Navigation | CIN) must submit the application as soon as possible. If the evaluation application materials are submitted after August 15th, it cannot be guaranteed that the evaluation will be timely arranged.
