Notice On Registration Of Science Popularization Account And Nautical Science Popularization Information Officer On China Science Communication Platform

According to Notice of the General Office of China Association for Science and Technology(CAST) on Promoting the Supply-Side Reform of China Science Communication (General Office of CAST, No. 24 [2022]), in order to jointly build and share the content, channels, activities and other quality resources of China Science Communication application platform in an all-round way, collaboratively develop nautical science popularization account China Science Communication, expand the team of science popularization workers and makers, successfully run brand’s science popularization activities, and build a nautical science popularization service network, all relevant units are invited to register science popularization accounts and nautical science popularization information officer on China Science Communication platform. The related matters are hereby notified as follows.
I. Registration scope
All member units and branches of China Institute of Navigation(CIN), nautical science education bases, and other relevant units and institutions, as well as experts, scholars, nautical enthusiasts and individual members who are keen on the work of nautical science education.
II. Registration content
(i) Register science popularization account of China Science Communication (referred to as science popularization account)
(1) Registration method: Enter the resource service webpage of China Science Communication (http://cloud.kepuchina.cn) for registration and authentication (to be opened upon recommendation by CIN, contact the Institute before opening). After opening the science popularization account, log in the management center (https://area.kepuchina.cn/login) to apply for registration of the administrator account (see Attachment 1 for registration process).
(2) Work tasks: The science popularization accounts are divided into individual accounts and institutional accounts. They are users who have got registration and authentication with their real names on China Science Communication platform as well as have carried out relevant science popularization work. After opening an administrator account, you can log in the business center through the opened science popularization account, publish and upload relevant science popularization content, and participate in related projects and activities of CAST.
(3) Related rights and interests: After opening a science popularization account, you can browse, share, collect and download quality science popularization resources, upload and manage related science popularization content. There are chances to get support and awards from CAST for excellent science popularization works.
(ii) Register as a nautical science popularization information officer (referred to as Officer)
(1) Registration method: As the “last mile” of science popularization, the Officers are users who have got registration and authentication with their real names on China Science Communication platform and have regularly carried out science popularization information dissemination. They download and use the application China Science Communication, and uniformly get registration and authentication in the science popularization account of CIN (see Attachment 2 for the registration process).
(2) Work tasks: Share and disseminate the quality content of China Science Communication through social channels such as WeChat groups, QQ groups and WeChat Moments. At the same time, publish science popularization activities, original works and information about navigation through this application, and mobilize relevant people to actively punch in and participate.
(3) Relevant rights and interests: Officers can log in the resource center and download and use quality resources such as videos, illustrations, wall charts and audios of China Science Communication, get points by completing daily tasks in the client-side, and all points can be exchanged for cash vouchers, books and other rewards in the Integral mall.
III. Related matters
Please value, support and promote the work together with all relevant units, and take into account respective needs and work practices to create the science popularization account in China Science Communication and register as a nautical science popularization information officer. The deadline for application and registration is by December 31, 2022.
