Nantong Maritime Safety Administration Have Guaranteed Yangkou Port’s Safe Operation For Eleven Years

On May 23, ZARGA, which is registered in Marshall Islands, docked at Jiangsu LNG receiving terminal successfully with 205,000 square meters of LNG. Since its official operation on May 24, 2011, Jiangsu LNG receiving terminal in 11 years, has received and discharged 536 LNG vessels with a total volume of 44.65 million tons of LNG and has carried 62 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is equivalent to the civil gas supply in Jiangsu Province in 13 years.

It is reported that Jiangsu LNG receiving terminal is a national key project, the first batch of LNG projects that put into operation in China, and the leading project to build a 100 billion energy island in Rudong, which plays an important role in relieving the tension of clean energy in the Yangtze River Delta and guaranteeing the safe supply of natural gas in East China and some parts of North China. It is estimated that the environmental benefits generated by 62 billion cubic meters of natural gas over 11 years are equivalent to plant 365.2 million trees, which can reduce 1,695.4 million tons of carbon dioxide and 1,435,000 tons of sulfur dioxide for our country, and make a strong contribution to the green development of the regional economy.

Although this island covers only 3 square kilometers, it is pregnant with the dream of Rudong’s 100 billion LNG industry. Next, Nantong Maritime Safety Administration will coordinate economic development, epidemic prevention and control and safety production to ensure the safety of every LNG ship’s arrival, departure and stay with kind-heart persistence and service. It also will support the green and clean energy channel with practical actions, spare no efforts in energy guarantee, and help enterprises resume work and production.
