On December 23rd, CIN and Huayang Maritime Center held a awarding ceremony and symposium for the “Home of Marine Scientists and Technicians” in the central lecture hall. Mr. Zhang Baochen, the executive vice president and Mr. Li Liqian, the general manager of Huayang Maritime Center attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. And Yan Xiaobo, Secretary General of CIN, Deputy Secretary General Peng Yan and Liu Shun, vice general manager of Huayang Maritime Center Zhang Ke and Yan Hexiang all attended the ceremony. The event was presided over by Zhang Ke. Staff in charge of relevant departments of both sides also attended.

At the symposium, General Manager Li Liqian introduced the current situation of the whole industrial chain of Huayang and its future goals and plans, and also expressed his sincere thanks for the support and trust given to Huayang by CIN. He said that Huayang would take the awarding ceremony as a new starting point and opportunity to serve the marine scientists and technicians and facilitate the development of Marine science and techonology.

Mr. Zhang Baochen, the executive vice president fully affirmed the efforts and achievements made by Huayang in nautical science and technology for a long time, as well as their support in the scientific and technological practice provided for the work of CIN. Zhang hoped that Huayang would continue to make efforts and to play the role of “home” by establishing a warm spiritual home for nautical science and technology workers where they can discuss, exchange, express their views and promote their achievements.
At the end of the symposium, Mr. Zhang Baochen, the executive vice president, made a profound elaboration on how to promote the nautical culture in a comprehensive manner by leading from point to point and radiating from layer to layer, and expressed his expectation for China Shipping Forum and Zheng He Nautical Excellence List organized and hosted by Huayang for CIN, hoping that Huayang would make further achievements in promoting nautical culture and showing its positive facet and lay a good foundation for further in-depth cooperation between CIN and Huayang Maritime Center.
