Yang Chuantang emphasized that we should deepen the Party's history of learning with high standard and quality, and promote the construction of a transportation power vigorously, during his investigation in Hubei.
From April 25 to 28, Yang Chuantang, the secretary of the Party group of the Ministry of Transport, visited Wuhan and Huangshi City, Hubei Province to carry out mission on party history learning. He also conducted investigations on the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the reform of the long-distance shipping system, and the education of grassroots units, after which he held the opinion exchanging meetings.
During the investigation, Yang exchanged views with with Yingyong, Secretary of Hubei provincial Party committee and Wang Xiaodong, governor of Hubei Province, on promoting the reform and development of Hubei transportation system. Yang made emphasis on building a powerful transportation country. Firstly, it is necessary to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping’s Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Secondly, all the Party members should maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment. Thirdly, "The Confidence in the Path, Theory, System and Culture" theory must be fully implemented. Fourthly, we should resolutely maintain the core leading position of General Secretary Xi Jinping's Party Central Committee and the authority and centralized leadership of the Party Central Committee. Under these circumstances, we should deepen the learning of the Party’s history with high standard and quality, strengthen the high-quality development of Yangtze River Economic Belt, and accelerate the construction of a powerful transportation country. We shall celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Party with these outstanding achievements
Yang inspected the development of multimodal transport projects at Huangshi New Port, Wuhan Yangluo Port Container Port Phase II, and the railway-waterway combined transport base. He visited the Changjiang Shipping General Hospital and expressed his best wishes to the medical workers who had made outstanding contributions in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. In the Maritime Affairs Office of Wuhan Maritime Safety Administration, he investigated the implementation of Party’s history learning in grassroots and learned about comprehensive law enforcement and grassroots education. On his way to the maintenance base of Tianxingzhou Waterway of Wuhan Waterway Bureau of the Yangtze River, Yang investigated the central port area of Wuhan, listened to reports on the implementation of the Yangtze River Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, the prevention and control of pollution from ships and ports in Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the development and application of digital waterway maps. At the base site, he also learned how to carry out waterway maintenance with the digital waterway maps.
On the morning of the 28th, Yang delivered a lecture on Party’s history education at Changjiang River Shipping Administration of Navigational Affairs (refer to as CRSANA). He pointed out the importance of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech at the Party’s history education conference. General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech showed the direction for the development of Party’s history education, provided fundamental blueprint, and clarified that the general aim for promoting Party’s history education in the whole party is to make people more sensible, honest, virtuous, practical, and leading all the comrades to learn more from Party’s history, understand the leading idea, do the practical work and make new breakthrough.
During the lecture, Yang also led the comrades to review General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the party’s history to fully understand the significance of carrying out Party’s history education. Besides, he made brief retrospect of the Party’s hundred-year glorious journey and great historical contributions. He stressed that studying history is a way to better move into the future. Based on the new starting point and new journey, we must grasp the historical mission of the CPC in the new era and the historical position of China's development, draw on historical experience, fully grasp the practical requirements, and accurately grasp the focus of Party history study and education.
Firstly, Party members should learn the power of the guiding thoughts and arm the Party with innovative theories. Secondly, we must further grasp the law and general trend of historical development and always hold the historical initiative in advancing the cause of the Party and the country. Thirdly, Party members should deepen the understanding of the nature and the purpose of the Party and resolutely hold the flag of Marxist character. Fourthly, Party members should look into the Party’s history experience and continuously improve the ability to deal with challenges. Fifthly, Party members should keep the innovative spirits and the Arduous Struggle spirit. Finally, Party members should further strengthen the unity and centralization of the Party to ensure the whole party advances in unison.
Yang Chuantang called for further study of Xi Jinping’s Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, which means that all the Party members should continue to learn the core spirit and deeper meaning of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s thoughts. Besides, all Party members should view Xi’s thoughts in three dimensions: theory, history experience, and practical methods and understand Xi’s thoughts in four dimensions: politics, leading idea, theoretical guideline, and logical analysis. What’s more, Party members should act practically to combine theory and practice and serve the people heart and soul. Following these guidelines Party members can settle the challenges from grassroots and mass and bring Chinese people sense of gain, happiness, and security.
About 110 members of the leadership team of the Party in Wuhan, cadres at or above the department level, and grassroots Party branches secretaries attended the study session at the main conference hall. More than 1,200 Party members and cadres attended the study sessions at 24 branch sessions of the departments and departments along the Yangtze River.
After the lecture, Yang listened to the work report of the leading group of CRSANA. He praised the achievements made by CRSANA in recent years in coordinating the epidemic prevention and control, promoting economic and social development, supporting the national major strategy, and enhancing the reform, development and stability of CRSANA. Yang required CRSANA to thoroughly study the important instructions of general secretary Xi Jinping and seize the opportunity in the new era to make new breakthrough of development. He asked CRSANA to deepen its administrative system reform and accelerate its the high-quality development. Besides, Yang also required CRSANA to play the leading role in unit construction, Party’s history education, and “Serve the Mass” activities. Actual contributions shall be made by CRSANA.
When exchanging views with leaders of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government, Yang emphasized that he hopes that the Ministries and provincial government will work together to give full play to Hubei’s location advantages. By such methods, the leaders should strive to build Hubei into a pilot demonstration zone for accelerating the construction of a powerful transportation country, use multimodal transport system to promote the development of modern comprehensive transportation system, push the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. After those hard work, Hubei will become a strategic fulcrum for high-quality development in the central region in the new era.
