Notice on the Procedures for Member Units to Handle the work of Individual Collective Membership
All member units:
In order to implement the spirit of Opinions on Further Improving Member Service (China Institute of Navigation [2021] No. 10), promote serving quality, and strive to achieve a new situation of win-win cooperation and sharing of member development and service, China Institute of Navigation (CIN) has specially formulated the working procedures for member units on handling individual collective membership. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
1. The member units should designate relevant departments to be responsible for the individual membership of their employees. The employees should fill in the Application Form for Individual Collective Membership of China Institute of Navigation stamped with the units’ official seal and submit the form together with the electronic version to the Secretariat of CIN.
2. After receiving the application form submitted, the secretariat will conduct qualification examination according to the membership conditions, and then submit the application form to the board of directors or the standing board for approval after being examined by the president's office. Upon approval, CIN will release the notice of admission.
3. Individual members who join CIN through collective application will be given discounts on membership fees. In 2021, students can get a 2/3 discount (RMB 20 per person), other personnel can get a 1/2 discount (RMB 30/person). Member units uniformly collect and pay membership dues. After receiving the membership fee, the institute will issue an invoice to the collecting and paying agency (with a list of individual members).
4. New members can click "Member Login" on the official website of the institute or WeChat official account, fill in the member account and login password (the member account and password will be sent to the new member's personal mailbox) to activate the member account, download or print the membership certificate.
5. After the development and application of the membership management system, electronic journal management system and conference registration system, the members can enjoy exclusive services such as information inquiry, academic exchange and journal preferential subscription with the QR code of the member certificate.
