Publicity of the 2020 CIN Science and Technology Advancement Award/Technological Innovation Award

The Plenary Session of Review Committee for the 2020 CIN Science and Technology Advancement Award and Technological Innovation Award was held during 12-24 December in Shenzhen. The review results formed according to the relevant provisions, measures and procedures have been approved by the Eighteenth Chairman’s Office Meeting of CIN. Now it is publicized.

Ⅰ. In 2020, CIN received and accepted 101 recommended and declared projects, including 99 Science and Technology Advancement Award and 2 Technological Innovation Award. After the Institute conducted the formal review on the completeness, standardization and authenticity of all declared materials and required the correction and supplement by the main accomplishers of the recommended and declared projects which were not perfect and did not meet the award requirements for the awards before the session, 98 preliminary projects passed the formal review.

92 of the 98 projects were reviewed and passed by professional review groups and the Expert Review Committee of CIN science and technology awards. For Science and Technology Advancement Award, there were 2 outstanding prizes, 16 first prizes, 58 second prizes, 14 third prizes. For Technological Innovation Award, there was 1 first and 1 third prize of each, 3 projects were suspended, and 3 were not awarded (Awarded projects listed in Appendix 1, 2).   

Ⅱ. The review of CIN science and technology awards receive social supervision and objection system. Any objections to the projects, achievements, performance made by persons or organizations who completed the projects, or even their innovativeness, advancement, practicality, intellectual property rights, as well as the authenticity of recommended materials and the ranking of the persons or organizations who completd the projects should be submitted in written form to the Secretariat of CIN for the review within 15 work days. Individuals or units with objections must sign with real name or unit’s seal and provide effective contact information on the written objection materials. Any anonymous, pseudonymous or overdue objections will not be accepted.

The objection period lasts 30 days after the publicity. Projects without objection or objection not be confirmed will be the official winning ones as the publicity date expires.

Ⅲ. Any applicant should check the application materials listed in Appendix 1 and 2 and any information form about the main project accomplisher without their signature shall be re-signed and submitted..
