On December 18, 2020, Gu Yanfeng, deputy director general of China Centre for International Science and Technology Exchange (CISTE), had a field visit and seminar in China Institute of Navigation (CIN) with his party. Zhang Baochen, vice chairman of CIN, Peng Yan, deputy secretary general, Liu Ying, deputy director of Academic Exchange Department, and relevant personnel for exchange work attended the seminar.
Zhang Baochen extended a warm welcome to the CISTE’s visit, and introduced the core work and industry direction. Peng Yan introduced CIN’s achievements on the international exchange and cooperation, as well as the work of Belt and Road International Alliance of Port and Shipping Science and Technology.
Gu Yanfeng introduced their work contents and next work plans, including the bilateral exchange activities and the establishment of exchange mechanism with some key countries and the cooperation with CIN in international academic exchange activities.
Both parties held talks on topics such as future international scientific and technological cooperation and exchanges, the organization of international activities and conferences in the maritime industry, and the guidance on the setting of international issues. They would work together to promote the international development of China’s maritime cause.
Relevant comrades from CISTE Strategic Research Office and Office of International Organization attended the above activities.
