In the morning of September 7, Li Shixin, Executive Vice President of the Society, led a team to the Society Service Center of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) to report and exchange views on the progress of key work after the leadership transition and the annual performance evaluation. Xu Qiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Society Service Center, received the delegation and presided over the forum.
At the forum, Executive Vice President Li Shixin expressed sincere gratitude to the Center for its long-standing guidance and support to the Society. Secretary-General Liu Shun presented the work roadmap and phased outcomes of the new Council. On bsis of the annual evaluation indicator system, he objectively analyzed the existing weaknesses and gaps in current work.
In light of the requirements for the annual evaluation, Secretary Xu Qiang put forward targeted guidance on journal development and member services, offering clear directions for the Society's work in the future. Director Zhang Weilin addressed practical difficulties encountered by the Society in the evaluation work, providing detailed responses and pragmatic recommendations one by one.
This pragmatic and in-depth exchange helped the Society further clarify its development orientation and identify actionable pathways for quality improvement and efficiency gains. The Society will carefully study and implement all recommendations from the Center. Taking the evaluation as an opportunity, it will continuously improve governance capacity and service quality, and accelerate efforts to build a world-class academic society.
