Announcement on the Evaluation Results of the "2025 Hierarchical Catalog of High-Quality Scientific and Technological Journals in the Field of Navigation"
All Relevant Units,
To thoroughly implement the important guiding principles of President Xi Jinping on fostering first-class academic journals, and to carry out the "Opinions on Deepening Reforms to Cultivate World-Class Scientific and Technological Journals," we aim to promote the establishment of a scientific and technological journal system that aligns with China's aspiration to become a global leader in science and technology, and to support the high-quality development of China's scientific and technological journals. Under the unified deployment of the China Association for Science and Technology, China Institute of Navigation has successfully applied for and initiated the optimization and adjustment work for the 2025 Hierarchical Catalog of High-Quality Scientific and Technological Journals in the Field of Navigation.
Guided by the principles of "value orientation, peer review, and equivalent utilization," the China Institute of Navigation has meticulously refined the journal ratings in the "2022 Hierarchical Catalog of High-Quality Scientific and Technological Journals in the Field of Navigation" based on the latest disciplinary development trends and the actual conditions of the journals. Emphasis has been placed on supplementing high-level scientific and technological journals in the field of navigation that have achieved significant breakthroughs in academic quality, influence, or innovative capabilities over the past two years. Through a series of meticulous steps, including establishing a project working group, revising the implementation guidelines, widely soliciting participation from domestic and international navigation-related journals, collaborating with domestic and international databases, collating and analyzing journal data, optimizing the evaluation criteria, forming an expert committee led by the institute's leadership and comprising multiple academicians as well as scholars from the fields of navigation and scientific and technological journal publishing, conducting expert reviews, comprehensive assessments, and holding a final project evaluation meeting, a total of 30 high-quality Chinese scientific and technological journals and 20 English scientific and technological journals in the field of navigation were ultimately selected. These journals are categorized into three tiers, T1, T2, and T3, from highest to lowest. Specifically, among the Chinese journals, there are 10 in T1 tier, 10 in T2 tier, and 10 in T3 tier, while among the English journals, there are 6 in T1 tier, 6 in T2 tier, and 8 in T3 tier.
