Notice on the Declaration of Maritime Science and Technology Progress Award and Maritime Technology Invention Award of China Institute of Navigation in 2025

To all relevant units:

    The Science and Technology Award of the China Institute of Navigation (CIN) is a comprehensive award in the national maritime field, established by the China Institute of Navigation and registered with the National Office for Science and Technology Awards (National Science and Technology Award Social Certificate No. 0045). Since its establishment in 2002, the award has increasingly gained industry influence and recognition, and outstanding winning projects can be recommended by our institute for the National Science and Technology Award.

    According to the relevant provisions of the “Science and Technology Reward Measures of China Institute of Navigation” and the annual work plan, the declaration and acceptance work for Science and Technology Progress Award and Technology Invention Award of CIN in 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the “Progress Award and Invention Award”) is now launched. Relevant matters are notified as follows:

    I. Time Arrangement

    Before October 15th, applications for the 2025 Progress Award and Invention Award must be submitted. Late submissions will be recognized as applications for the next year. Please carefully prepare the application materials and arrange the time accordingly.

    II. Award Acceptance

    1. The Progress Award application project should be innovative results with independent intellectual property rights, and has achieved significant economic or social benefits. The overall technology of the award application must have been applied and verified for more than one year, that is, the overall technology application of the award application this year should be completed before December 31, 2023. Among them, standard research projects are standards published and implemented in the maritime field for more than one year, and international standards (issued by ISO, IEC, ITU and other international organizations), national standards, industry standards, group standards, local standards, and enterprise standards can all be applied.

    2. The Invention Award application project should have obtained authorized intellectual property rights, and the overall technology must have been applied and verified for more than one year, that is, the overall technology application of the award application this year should be completed before December 31st, 2023.

    III. Declaration Requirements

    For the Progress Award and Invention Award, please log in to the China Institute of Navigation Science and Technology Service System (http://kjfw.cinnet.cn) to fill in the form, and the system operation manual is attached.

    IV. Other Matters

    1. According to the “Regulation on National Science and Technology Awards” and the “Measures to Science and Technology Awards of China Institute of Navigation”, the same technical content project shall not be repeatedly declared for the same type of award through multiple channels in the same year. Once found, the qualification for review will be cancelled. Confidential projects will not be accepted.

    2. Declaring units and individuals should strengthen scientific ethics and improve academic practice, follow the principles of strict, tight, rigorous, and serious scientific and technological innovation work, advocate a scientific, rational, equal, and solid work style, and resolutely prevent the declaration of false innovation, pseudo-innovation, and overrated scientific and technological achievement evaluation projects.
