Notice on Call for Papers for the 2024 Intelligent Shipping Development Conference
To all harbor and shipping related enterprises and institutions, and relevant science and technology workers,
In order to accelerate the construction of high-quality intelligent shipping system, connect the upstream and downstream industries of the value chain, and enhance the promotion of related achievements and experience exchange, the China Institute of Navigation, the Office of the Shanghai Combined Port Management Committee, and the China Communications Press will jointly hold the Fifth Intelligent Shipping Development Conference with a theme of “New Era - Great Navigation - Dream of a powerful nation” in November 2024 in Shanghai, and carry out academic paper exchange activities. The call for papers is now launched, and the relevant matters are notified as follows:
I. Scope
Full papers in Chinese on the review of the development of intelligent shipping, intelligent ships, shipping technology, equipment manufacturing, shipping big data research and application, ship safety and inspection intelligent technology, ship emergency command and rescue technology, resilient shipping, port scheduling and optimization, application practice of unmanned technology and artificial intelligence in port and navigation field, intelligent navigation security, and other intelligent shipping related topics.
II. Requirements
1. The papers should conform to academic standards, not be published in journals, not be confidential, be free of plagiarism (the text copy ratio should be less than 30%), and be signed and ordered in a non-controversial manner.
2. The papers should have a clear topic, distinctive arguments, sufficient evidence, and rigorous logic.
3. The paper should be well-structured, complete, well-written and standardized for citation. The word count of the submitted paper should be between 4000-7000, using the unified format template (scan the code at the end of the notice to get it).
4. Submission Method: The first author or recommending organization should send the paper and the“Paper Registration Information Sheet” (scan the code at the end of the notice to get it) to sy@zgjtb.com before October 20, 2024, and the subject of the email and the attachment will be named as follows: Intelligent Shipping Call for Papers + title of the paper + name of the first author.
III. Exchange of papers
1. Initial screening.
Preliminary evaluation time: from October 21 to October 25th.
The press will organize a group of experts to review and check the papers, and the authors of the papers that pass the preliminary evaluation will be invited to participate in the academic paper exchange activities at the 2024 Intelligent Shipping Development Conference.
2. On-site Exchange.
Time: During the Intelligent Shipping Development Conference.
Exchange in groups: The exchange activities will be hosted by the leaders of the review teams, and the paper authors will exchange on-site. Experts will listen to the authors' speeches and ask questions about the papers, as well as give score to each paper.
After the review by the evaluation committee, the Best Paper and Excellent Papers for the 2024 Smart Shipping Development Conference will be selected. The results will be announced on-site, and certificates were awarded.
Publication of Results:
The unpublished "Best Paper" will be selectively recommended for priority publication in reputable industry journals such as Navigation of China, Journal of Dalian Maritime University, Marine Navigation Technology, and China Ship Survey. The "Best Paper" and "Excellent Papers" will be included in the academic achievements of the 2025 Annual Academic Conference of the China Institute of Navigation.
IV. Other Requirements
(1) All recommending units are requested to fully carry out promotional and mobilization efforts for the essay solicitation within their respective regions and professional fields, emphasizing contact with key units and cultivation of author groups.
(2) During the solicitation and recommendation process, strict controls and standardized operations should be implemented in line with the principles of fairness, impartiality, and transparency. Academic misconduct should be rigorously investigated, and attention should be paid to the avoidance system for review experts.
