Notice on Naming the "XIANG YANG HONG 10" Scientific Research Vessel and Other 17 Units as Maritime Science Popularization Education Bases of the China Institute of Navigation

To all relevant units:
On May 21 the China Institute of Navigation organized the 2024 Expert Review Meeting for Maritime Science Popularization Education Bases in Beijing. After expert deliberation and voting, a total of 18 units, inclusive of "XIANG YANG HONG 10" Research Vessel (see the attached list) passed the expert review. The review results were approved by the 62nd Council Meeting of the Institute, and the publicity was completed in accordance with regulations, without receiving any objections.
We hereby designate the "XIANG YANG HONG 10" Research Vessel and 17 other units as " Science Education Base of CIN" and provide them with a certificate and plaque for the National Base of Maritime Science Popularization Education. The title will remain valid for five years (2024-2028).
It is hoped that the 18 navigation science education bases will, in accordance with the Administrative Measures for the Navigation Science Education Bases of the China Institute of Navigation, give full play to their service advantages, resource advantages and unique roles, actively carry out effective navigation science education activities for the society and the public, and make positive contributions to promoting the spirit of navigation, enhancing the influence of navigation science and technology, and improving the scientific literacy of the whole nation.
