Notification on the Recruitment of Members for the Youth Expert Committee of the China Institute of Navigation

To stimulate the innovative vitality of young maritime experts, young expert backup forces, and fully utilize the talents of young experts, the China Institute of Navigation intends to establish a Youth Expert Committee (hereinafter referred to as "Youth Expert Committee (YEC)") .
Ⅰ.Primary Tasks
The Youth Expert Committee (YEC), under the leadership of CIN, comprises young experts with high academic standing and influence in the field of navigation and related disciplines. Its primary tasks include organizing academic exchange activities to foster an environment conducive to the growth of young talents; actively participating in the recommendation and reward evaluation of navigation talents, technological consulting and services, think tank advice, and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements; supporting activities of branches of CIN; creating opportunities and platforms for young talents to expand research horizons; and selecting and cultivating future innovative leaders in the field of navigation.
Ⅱ Basic Requirements for YEC members
- Members shall embrace the doctrine of patriotism, uphold the guidelines, policies, and political stance of Communist Party of China, with active ideological progress.
- They should have a deep passion for the navigation industry, possess a high sense of responsibility and good professional ethics, abide by laws and regulations, and uphold integrity in academic pursuits. They should possess rich professional, theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of navigation, have a certain influence within the industry, and be an enthusiastic organizer and participant in YEC activities.
- Members must possess a senior or associate senior professional technical title in the field of navigation or related disciplines. Members with a senior title no older than 45 years of age is ideal, while those with an associate senior title no more than 35 years of age.
- Members must be individual members of CIN or be employed by a corporate organization of CIN.
Ⅲ Membership of YEC
The YEC is structured with one chairperson, several deputy chairpersons, a secretary-general, and if necessary, deputy secretaries-general. The term of office for each committee member is 3 years. The inaugural committee members will be recommended by subordinate units, with the secretariat conducting consultations and initial reviews, and the final determination will be made by the director's office meeting.
Ⅳ Application Requirements
- Electronic copies of the YEC Member Recommendation Form (Attached files 1, stamped scanned version) and the Information Statistics Form (Attached files 2, Excel file), along with supporting materials such as representative achievements and award-winning projects, should be sent to the designated email. Paper materials won’t be accepted.
- The recommending unit should provide an opinion on the candidate's political performance, integrity, moral character, and other aspects, clearly stating whether they agree to the recommendation (including the position of chairperson, deputy chairperson, or member), and verify the authenticity, accuracy, and confidentiality of the materials.
- Each member unit can recommend no more than 3 candidates. The deadline for applications is May 26th.
