Call for Papers for Academic Annual Conference of China Institute of Navigation 2024

To all professional committees, local navigation institutes, and national navigation technology workers:
To promote academic exchanges and technological advancements in the field of navigation, and to further leverage the academic leadership role of scientific journals in navigation, we plan to hold the Academic Annual Conference of China Institute of Navigation during the China Maritime Week 2024 (July 10th - July 12th, Tianjin) and conduct an academic paper exchange and selection. We are now initiating the solicitation of excellent papers, and the relevant matters are notified as follows:
I. Scope of Submission
Full-text papers in Chinese in the fields of intelligent shipping, navigation safety, marine machinery and electronics, shipping management, navigation safety, port engineering, waterway engineering, information and communication engineering, logistics engineering, navigation remote sensing, environmental protection and ecology, salvage and diving, nautical culture, maritime law, and interdisciplinary fields.
II. Submission Requirements
The call for papers should be unpublished and the submission methods are as follows:
1.For unpublished papers, please submit the full text in Chinese (refer to the paper format template), the Paper Registration Form (see Attachment 3), and the Paper Copyright Transfer Agreement (Attachment 4) to the local institutes of navigation or professional committees of CIN (hereinafter referred to as the "recommending institutions"; contact details in Attachments 1 and 2). Starting from the date of this notice, each recommending institution may also mobilize relevant units and individuals to actively participate in the submission around the theme, organize experts to conduct a preliminary review of the solicited papers, and submit materials such as the situation of the call for papers, the review process, participating experts, review comments and conclusions in written form to the Institute by May 6, 2024.
2.For papers that have been accepted but not yet published in China Navigation and Navigation Technology, the first author should send the full-text in Chinese (refer to the paper format template) and the Paper Registration Form (see Attachment 3) to dongsw@cinnet.cn by May 6, 2024, with the email subject as " Academic Annual Conference of China Institute of Navigation 2024 Submission - Manuscript Number."
III. Paper Selection
(1) Review Process
The Secretariat of the Institute will organize a review based on the recommended papers, and papers that pass this review will be invited to participate in Academic Annual Conference of China Institute of Navigation 2024 for paper exchanges.
(2) Exchange and Publication
Invited authors may present their papers during the Academic Annual Conference of China Institute of Navigation 2024. After being reviewed by the academic conference review committee, selected papers will be awarded as the best papers or outstanding papers of the Academic Annual Conference of China Institute of Navigation 2024.
The Institute will issue certificates, provide remuneration to the authors and will recommend unpublished papers for priority publication in China Navigation and Navigation Technology, and the supplement of China Navigation and the 2024 CIN Academic Annual Conference Proceedings.
IV. Other Requirements
(1) The length of the submitted paper should be between 4,000 and 7,000 words, using a uniform format (refer to the paper format template).
(2) All recommending units should fully carry out publicity and mobilization work for paper submissions in their regions and professional fields, focusing on liaison with key units and the cultivation of authors. The number, quality, and conference participation of recommended papers will be considered as a bonus item in the assessment and recommendation of the outstanding institutions..
(3) The collection and recommendation work should be carefully controlled and operated in accordance with regulations, adhering to the principles of fairness, justice, and openness with a rigorous check on academic misconduct and attention to the conflict of interest system for review experts.
