All professional committees of CIN:
In 2022, the CIN has made great efforts to strengthen the matrix construction of the academic exchange activities, and promoted all branches to hold open academic exchange activities. Remarkable achievements have been achieved. A number of professional forums and academic seminars have been launched during the Navigation Day week, and the institute has basically held open academic exchange activities every month. According to the requirements of the Fifth Meeting of the Ninth Council of CIN, the professional advantages of the branches will be further leveraged in 2023, and the special committees and supporting units will be required to jointly hold open academic exchange activities with strong professionalism, prominent focus and distinctive characteristics. From this year, the annual conference of China Institute of Navigation will be renamed as China Annual Conference of Navigation, and will gradually become the most influential academic and professional technical platform for domestic nautical academic exchange in China. The Institute will select 8 to10 high quality seminars to be included in the China Annual Conference of Navigation.
Therefore, all professional committees are invited to plan for open academic events in 2023, and each committee should organize at least one such activity. Please fill in the "Open Academic Activities Program Summary Form" (see Annex 1) and return it by the end of the day on 13 February. The Institute's Secretariat will coordinate the formation of the Institute's annual open academic activities plan, which will be published after approval by the General Council of the President, and will organize a comprehensive evaluation of academic activities before the end of the year, and the results of the review will be included in the annual branch appraisal.
