Notice on Holding the 2026 China Maritime Day Forum and Related Activities

To all relevant units:
July 11, 2026 marks the 22nd China Maritime Day, which is also the observance day of World Maritime Day in China. Upon approval, during this year's China Maritime Day, China Institute of Navigation will jointly organize the 2026 China Maritime Day Forum as well as seminars, science‑popularization, cultural and exhibition events with China Communications Construction Company Limited, Jiangsu Comprehensive Transportation Society and other relevant organizations in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province from July 10 to 12. Relevant arrangements are hereby notified as follows.
I. Activity Content
Centered on the theme Digital and Intelligent Empowerment, Leading the Future, the activities will focus on topics including digital‑intelligent upgrading of shipping, green and sustainable development, new trends in maritime science and technology, maritime knowledge popularization, inheritance of maritime culture and promotion of the maritime spirit of the new era. In‑depth exchanges and discussions will be held to share development achievements, demonstrate new momentum and results of maritime undertakings at the initial stage of the 15th Five‑Year Plan, consolidate industry synergy, raise public awareness of maritime and ocean development, and contribute wisdom and strength to building a strong transportation country and a strong maritime country at a faster pace.

III. Relevant Requirements
- Strictly implement the spirit of the Eight‑point Regulation of the Central Committee. Adhere to the principles of "appropriate scale, frugality, rich content and practical outcomes", and ensure all activities are economical, simple, standardized and well‑organized.
- Follow the principle of "the organizer assumes overall responsibility". All host and organizer units shall fully deliver their primary responsibilities, refine working measures, keep a firm safety bottom line, strictly enforce the accountability system for ideological work and uphold the correct public‑opinion orientation.
- Coordinate online and offline publicity resources to carry out themed publicity for China Maritime Day and foster a sound atmosphere for building a strong transportation country and a strong maritime country.
- Timely summary submission. All host units shall earnestly summarize activity implementation, highlights, experience and practices as well as work suggestions, and submit the activity summary to CIN by July 15.
