The China Institute of Navigation is a national academic organization voluntarily formed by units and individuals engaged in maritime science and technology work. It serves as a “bridge” and “link” between the Chinese Communist Party, the government, and maritime science and technology professionals, and is an important social force in advancing the development of maritime science and technology, as well as in building a nation strong in science and technology, transportation, maritime affairs, shipping, and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. The Institute publishes two national-level core scientific and technological journals: China Navigation and Navigation Technology. The editorial department has been honored with awards such as the Outstanding Publishing Management Unit by the China Association for Science and Technology and Excellent Performance in Social Benefit Evaluation for its journals. To meet business needs, the Institute is now publicly recruiting 1 academic editor.
I. Position Requirements
1. Uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, adhere to the socialist path, abide by laws and regulations, and demonstrate good political qualities and moral conduct. No record of administrative penalties or criminal convictions.
2. Bachelor's degree or above with corresponding degree certificate.
3. Have excellent communication skills, strong writing ability, logical thinking, team spirit and professional dedication, and proficiency in office software; be familiar with new media operations such as WeChat official accounts.
4. Qualifications (must meet one of the following):
(1) Minimum 3 years of journal editing experience with Intermediate Publishing Editor qualification.
(2) Educational background or professional experience in navigation/maritime studies; holders of Third Officer/Fourth Engineer certificates or above preferred.
5. CET-4 score of 425 or above, with good English reading and writing skills.
II. Job Responsibilities
1. Maintain and expand the core author base; liaise with peer reviewers; complete manuscript editing, processing, proofreading, and final checking to ensure timely, high-quality publication of each issue.
2. Expand market presence and enhance journal impact; organize domestic and international academic activities; coordinate paper review, editing, and compilation for academic events.
3. Participate in the operation and promotion of the China Navigation WeChat official account and official website; proficient in using AI tools to address academic misconduct.
4. Complete other tasks assigned by leadership.
