In accordance with the requirements of "Notice from the Department of Science Popularization of China Association for Science and Technology on Recommending Outstanding Works for the 2025 National Science Popularization Month," the Secretariat of the Institute has taken the lead in carefully reviewing the relevant content of the works, and based on the science popularization activities organized by the Institute and published on the National Science Popularization Month platform,. A comprehensive evaluation was conducted concerning dimensions such as ideological soundness, scientific accuracy, and innovation. Five outstanding popular science works were selected, including 1 science popularization exhibition, 1 science popularization performance, and 3 science popularization activity cases. The recommended works are hereby announced as follows:
1. Science Popularization Exhibition:
(1) "The Story of Shipbuilding in the Ming Dynasty" – Hundred Exhibitions, Hundred Lessons Series Science Popularization Activities
2. Science Popularization Performance:
(1) Science Paradise at Your Doorstep – Completion of Nanshan Village Children's Home Deep-Sea Science Base and Its Inaugural Deep-Sea Science Popularization Series Performances
3. Science Popularization Activity Cases:
(1) Conclusion of the 2025 National Navigation Science Popularization Season & "Sailors Talk About Navigation" Science Lecture
(2) "Strengthening the Maritime Nation, I Take the Lead in Science Popularization" – Water Safety and Marine Science Activities on Campus, in Communities, and in Rural Areas
(3) 2025 Beijing Sub-center Youth Sailing Regatta
The publication period is from January 8 to January 13, 2026. Any organization or individual with objections to the announced content should submit a written complaint with real-name identification to China Institute of Navigation within the specified period. Materials reflecting objections on behalf of an organization must be stamped with the official seal. Materials reflecting objections on behalf of an individual must be signed with the real name and include valid contact information. Anonymous complaints, pseudonymous complaints, or complaints submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
