After carefully listening to the speeches of the participants, Liu Wei pointed out that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, President Xi Jinping has attached great importance to transportation work, personally planned, deployed and promoted the construction of a powerful transportation country, and made a series of important speeches, which have pointed out the direction for our transportation work in the present and the future, provided the fundamental guidelines, and injected strong impetus. We must deeply comprehend and earnestly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important spirit on building a country with strong transportation network, striving to accelerate the construction of a power in transportation, and making every effort to serve as the pioneer of Chinese modernization.

Liu Wei stressed that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important address at the Central Economic Working Conference comprehensively summarized the economic work of 2024, profoundly analyzed the current economic situation, and systematically deployed the economic work for 2025, providing the direction and guidance for the next year’s work. We should thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Central Economic Working Conference, align our thoughts and actions with the important address of General Secretary Xi Jinping, and consciously unify our thinking, will, and actions with the scientific judgments of the Party’s Central Committee on the situation.  We should unwaveringly uphold and strengthen the centralized and unified leadership of the Party Central Committee, comprehensively implement the important requirements of the "Five Musts for Overall Planning", maintain the confidence and overcoming difficulties, so as to solidly carry out the key transportation work for next year.

Liu Wei stated that the joint efforts made by all parties are needed to accelerate the construction of a power in transportation and promote the high-quality development in transportation. He expected that everyone would continue to focus on the cutting-edge technologies and development trends in transportation, take initiative in strategic research, forward-looking research, and research on core technologies. So that they could actively offer opinions and suggestions, contribute their wisdom, and better play a role in the decision-making of major issues such as industrial reform and scientific and technological innovation. Centering around the construction of a modern integrated transportation system, we should further enhance the independent innovation capabilities, continuously strengthen the core competitiveness of enterprises, and accelerate the development of new productive forces. We also should bridge the government, enterprises, and research institutions, to fully tap potential, expand work scope, and promote the integrated development of the industry, academia, and research, stirving to make new and greater contributions to the high-quality development of transportation.
