On July 28th, a series of innovative "black technologies" for maritime rescue captivated visitors at the Tianjin International Cruise Homeport, showcasing the latest advancements in maritime equipment. These breakthroughs once again drew attention to Tianjin's maritime prowess, garnering fans and becoming widely known.
On the same day, the "Let's Go See the Sea" all-media promotional event for the northern region kicked off in Tianjin. Former Chinese Women's Volleyball Team member and Tianjin Women's Volleyball Coach Yin Na extended an invitation to the public to "Let's Go See the Sea" initiative. Participants jointly promoted the first must-visit destination in the northern region – the Tianjin International Cruise Homeport.

Multiple central media outlets have reported frequently on the event, with related Weibo topics topping trending and news lists. The campaign's content has reached over 160 million people across the internet, attracting numerous influential public figures and satisfying the public's cultural desire to approach the ocean, understand shipping, and recognize maritime affairs, thereby stimulating societal interest in the development of the shipping industry.
E Hailiang, Deputy Director of the Maritime Safety Administration of the People’s Republic of China, stated that "Let's Go See the Sea" has become a distinctive brand promotion activity with prominent transportation characteristics and maritime features. It embarks on a "voyage with the people" from the closest perspectives, grassroots levels, and development frontiers, sharing the journey of exploring China's magnificent landscapes by rivers and seas, witnessing the rise of a transportation powerhouse through convenient watercraft, and ensuring maritime safety amidst smooth sailing and secure people.
Focusing on China's vast northern waters, the northern region's event, starting from Tianjin, adopts a "transportation plus cultural tourism" integration model to showcase the remarkable achievements of maritime services in supporting port and shipping economic development, ensuring uninterrupted and safe transportation in the Yellow and Bohai Seas regions. Maritime authorities in Tianjin, Liaoning, Hebei, Shandong, Heilongjiang, and the North Navigation Service Center, Maritime Safety Administration, People’s Republic of China concurrently organized various online and offline activities. Offline, multiple photo spots were set up, and the "My Sea" photo contest invited the public to experience the charm of the Yellow and Bohai Seas.
The northern region boasts vast seascapes and magnificent landscapes, including the Tianjin International Cruise Homeport, the largest cruise homeport in northern China, and the Heihe Mohe Maritime Office in Arctic Village, China's northernmost tip. Iconic facilities like the Olympic Sailing Lighthouse and Xiaoqingdao Lighthouse serve vessels day in and day out. From trending destinations like Tianjin Dongjiang Qinhai Park and Dalian Port's Dongwujie Street to historic landmarks like the "Kaibudi" Pier and Harbin Flood Control Victory Monument, the region perfectly blends history with modernity.
"Let's Go See the Sea" not only deepened people's understanding of maritime work but also sparked interest in maritime affairs through online dissemination," shared Qi Yanhong from the Tianjin Communication Center of North Navigation Service Center, Maritime Safety Administration, People’s Republic of China, reflecting on her experience at the themed exhibition. "Today's event was very interesting, and I believe my explanations will make more people understand navigation," said Gao Yikun, a young tourist who joined the navigation science popularization volunteer team right after a cruise.
At the promotional event, Nie Qianzhen, Director of the Tianjin Maritime Safety Administration, and Zhao Dong'an, Deputy Director of the Tianjin Dongjiang Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee, delivered speeches, while Wang Shifeng, the Discipline Inspection Group Leader of the Tianjin Maritime Safety Administration, introduced the highlights of the event.
