On January 28, the Ministry of Transport held a meeting of leading cadres to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech, especially the important guiding spirit of the transport system when visiting the grassroots cadres and masses through video link, and to plan and promote the work of transport in 2023. Minister Li Xiaopeng presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
Li Xiaopeng pointed out that it is necessary to deeply study and understand, and firmly implement important instructions to the transport system the general secretary Xi Jinping made when visiting grassroots cadres and masses through video link on the eve of the Spring Festival. Meanwhile, we also need to deeply understand the decisive significance of the “two establishments”, enhance the “four consciousness”, firmly adhere to the “four self-confidence”, and achieve the “two maintenance”. In addition, we need to work hard, take responsibility and dedication, make persistent efforts, make new contributions, and strive to speed up the construction of a strong transportation country, and strive to be the pioneer of China’s modernization.
Li Xiaopeng stressed that under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, we should fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference, solidly promote Chinese path to modernization, and adhere to the general keynote of seeking progress while maintaining stability. In this connection, we are supposed to completely, accurately and comprehensively put the new development concept into place, serve to accelerate the construction of a new development pattern, and strive to promote high-quality development, so as to coordinate epidemic prevention and control, economic and social development, transportation, development and safety. We will comprehensively deepen reform and opening up, vigorously boost market confidence, organically combine the implementation of the strategy of expanding domestic demand with deepening the supply-side structural reform, serve to ensure stable growth, employment and price, highlight the need to ensure smooth flow, expand investment, stabilize the market, adjust the structure, ensure safety, and prevent risks, accelerate the advancement of the modern comprehensive transportation system, and strive to make China a strong transport country. At the same time, we will strive to be the pioneer of China’s modernization, achieve effective improvement in quality and reasonable growth in quantity, provide strong services for the overall improvement of economic performance, and make new and greater contributions to a sound start in building a modern socialist country in all respects. First, we will thoroughly study, publicize and implement the guiding principles of the Party’s 20th National Congress. Second, we will scientifically formulate and effectively implement the 2023-2027 Action Plan for speeding up the construction of a strong transportation country. Third, we should carry out epidemic prevention and control in a scientific and precise manner. Fourth, we will strengthen the work of ensuring transportation and logistics. Fifth, we will firmly guard the bottom line of transport safety development. Sixth, we will actively expand effective investment in transport. Seventh, we will improve the quality and level of transport services. Eighth, we will support and guide coordinated development between urban and rural areas in different regions. Ninth, we will accelerate the development of a unified and open transport market. Tenth, we will promote innovation-driven development of transport. Eleventh, we will advance the clean and low-carbon transport transformation. Twelfth, we will promote the global transport cooperation. Thirteenth, we will work hard to forestall and defuse major risks. Fourteenth, we will uphold and strengthen the Party’s overall leadership.
Li Xiaopeng stressed the need to firm confidence, spirit, energy and do a good job of the current key work, so as to promote the sound start of the transportation work in 2023 with high quality. We should make every effort to improve the transportation services and epidemic prevention and We should make efforts to enhance the transport logistics to keep the smooth flow. Meanwhile, we should make unremitting efforts to ensure the production safety and promote the construction of major projects.
Ministry leaders Zou Tianjing, Dai Dongchang, Fu Xuyin, and Ministry chief engineer attended the meeting. The leaders of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervision Commission stationed in the Ministry of Transport, departments and bureaus within the Ministry and some subordinate units of the Ministry attended the meeting.
