The Haikou Section of G15 Shenyang-Haikou Expressway Is to Be Open to Traffic by the End of the Month

On December 22, the project of the Haikou section of G15 Shenyang-Haikou Expressway passed the delivery acceptance and is to be open to traffic by the end of the month. The project is the "last kilometer" of G15 Shenyang-Haikou Expressway and G75 Lanzhou-haikou Expressway in Hainan province, and is the only channel for expressway of Hainan province to connect to the national expressway network.

After opening to traffic, it will connect the Newport and G98 Isle Ring Expressway, and form a loop line with Haixiu Expressway. After the completion, it will further improve the national expressway network and highway network of Hainan province, meet the future demand of dredging port transportation of the Newport, and effectively promote the "three-port integration" of the Newport, Railway South Port of Hainan province and Macun Port. It is of great significance to improve regional traffic conditions, enhance the image of Haikou external traffic and promote economic and social development along the route.

The starting point of the project of the Haikou section of G15 Shenyang-Haikou Expressway is located in the Newport area of Haikou City, connecting with the planning road of the port area, along the Yuehai Avenue, the harbor highway to the south, through the Haikou Stone Mountain Volcanic Group National Geological Park. The end point is located in the South side of the former evacuating interchange of G98 Isle Ring Expressway. The total length of the route is 13.727 kilometers, adopting two-way six-lane expressway standard. The roadbed width is 33.5 meters, full width of the integral bridge 32.2 meters, single width of separated bridge 16.25 meters. There are four interoperable three-dimensional intersections (Xinhai interchange, Haixiu interchange, Yehai interchange and Mei 'an interchange) along the whole route.
