The ocean-going fishing boats business was added to the new version of the ship inspection and the agreement of licensing authorization

Recently, the Maritime Safety Administration of the People's Republic of China and the China Classification Society signed the Agreement on Authorizing the China Classification Society to Execute the Statutory Inspection and Certification of International Navigating Ships with Chinese Nationality in Beijing. The new version of the authorization agreement included the legal inspection and certification of ocean-going fishing ships, defined the technical conditions and internal control requirements of recognized organizations, strengthened the authorized management and supervision in order to better fully fulfill the requirements of the work.

In recent years, new rules of international maritime conventions have been put into force continuously, and matters related to the authorization of recognized organizations by competent authorities have been constantly adjusted. The signing of the new agreement is the implementation of the relevant requirements of fishery inspection transfer after the institutional reform and a concrete embodiment of strengthening the management of recognized organizations and the implementing the Guidance Opinions of the Ministry of Transport on Deepening Reform and Promoting the Development of High Quality in Ship Inspection.

Cao Desheng, Director of the Maritime Safety Administration, PRC, Li Hongyin, Deputy Director of the Maritime Safety Administration, PRC, Mo Jianhui, President of the China Classification Society, Sun Feng, Zhong Xiaojin, Zhu Kai and leading officials from relevant functional departments of the two sides attended the signing ceremony. The signing of the authorization agreement marks the more standardized management of recognized organizations, which will better promote the China Classification Society to play a major role and boost the construction of China Classification Society to a new level.
