A few days ago, Dalian Port of Liaoning Port Group completed the transshipment of non-GMO soybeans for foreign trade through “Changing the transportation from container ships to bulk grain trucks”, and created a new mode of transshipment of soybeans outside Dalian port while successfully securing new imported soybeans to the Port.
It was reported that this batch of imported soybean goods first was shipped to the container wharf of Dalian Port by container vessels, and was unloaded into the warehouse at the grain elevator terminal after having a short-distance transport, and finally was transferred to Heilongjiang by self-provided bulk grain trucks. In actual operation, through combining the previous “Little high box” operation mode of the domestic trade corn railway with the loading and unloading requirements of the imported soybean goods, Dalian Port was the first to create the dredging operation mode “Changing the transportation from container ships to bulk grain trucks” to effectively help clients solve their logistics and transportation problems, reduce the operating costs, and improve the turnover utilization rate of the bulk grain trucks in Dalian Port, providing sufficient guarantee for the rapid collection and distribution of new sources of the imported soybean.
Since the beginning of this year, while making solid and effective efforts to prevent and control the pandemic and continuing to play the role of providing port services, Dalian Port had strengthened targeted efforts in the development of supply of the goods, production and operation to achieve a sustained increase in the throughput of imported soybeans. According to information, in the first five months of this year, Dalian Port had transferred nearly 600,000 tons of soybeans, with a year-on-year growth of 200%, contributing to the continuous expansion of the grain transit scale at Dalian Port.
