Recently, in accordance with the “Trial Measures for the Evaluation and Assessment of the Social Benefits of Newspaper and Periodical Publishing Units” the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) conducted a review and announced the “Notification on the Results of the 2023 Social Benefit Evaluation and Review of Periodicals Under CAST’s Jurisdiction.” Among the 521 periodicals nationwide that participated in the evaluation as required, the two journals sponsored by China Institute of Navigation, namely “China Navigation” and “Navigation Technology,” both received an “Excellent” rating in the 2023 social benefit evaluation.
“Navigation Technology” actively promotes achievements in navigation science and technology, popular science ambassadors, and navigation culture. “China Navigation” consistently solicits high-quality papers from academicians and winners of the China Maritime Science and Technology Award, organizes various academic activities and salons, and building an Academic Network Matrix. Both “China Navigation” and “Navigation Technology” prioritize social benefits, integrating them with economic benefits. They promote navigation culture, inherit the spirit of modern navigation, lead the construction and innovative development of navigation disciplines, and provide a high-quality academic exchange platform for navigation science and technology work. They also continuously enhance the dissemination influence and social reputation of the society's journals.
