On March 14th, Committee for Membership at the China Institute of Navigation held its first work meeting of 2024, combining online and offline participation. Participants included Yan Xiaobo, Secretary-General and Director of the Work Committee, along with 14 committee members and other relevant personnel. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Ping, Vice Secretary-General and Vice Director of the Work Committee.
During the meeting, Director Yan Xiaobo led the study on the 6th session of the 9th Executive Council of CIN and the work report for the 2024 work meeting, reported on the membership work in 2023 and laid out the work tasks for 2024. Vice Director Zhang Ping read out the suggestions for practical matters to be carried out for the members in 2024. Committee members exchanged ideas on topics such as membership development, classification and grading services for members,continuous improvements for the Home for Maritime Science and Technology Workers, the selection of Fellows for 2024, and practical suggestions for member services.
In his summary, Yan Xiaobo emphasized the need to enhance in-depth communication at the Home for Maritime Science and Technology Workers, establish a smooth cooperative and communicative environment, and help achieve high-level self-reliance and strength in maritime science and technology. He also stressed the importance of promoting various measures for member services to enhance the level of service provided to members and ensuring the effective implementation of the 2024 work tasks to achieve the annual development goals with high quality and precision.
