Zhang Baochen - Executive Vice President of the China Institute of Navigation - Attended the 2023 Straits Science and Technology Experts Forum

On June 17, 2023 Strait Science and Technology Experts Forum was grandly opened in Xiamen, gathering the wisdom of experts from both sides of the Taiwan Strait to discuss the new road of integrating science and technology. Zhang Baochen, executive vice president of the China Institute of Navigation (CIN), was invited to attend the Strait Management Forum and the High-end Dialogue of Science and Technology Associations on Both Sides of the Taiwan Strait, and acted as a guest of honor to carry out dialogues on innovation, exchange and cooperation and construction of science and technology associations on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

On June 18, the sub-forum “Cross-Strait Interconnection and Marine Economic Development Seminar” was grandly opened in the School of Navigation of Jimei University. Fujian Navigation Institute took the lead in hosting this seminar, jointly organized by 11 cross-strait marine, transportation science and technology organizations, such as Fujian Society of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Fujian Society of Fisheries, China Marine Technology Research Institution (Taiwan), Taiwan Society of Fisheries and so on. The CIN is one of the four guiding units of this sub-forum, its executive vice president Zhang Baochen attended the seminar and delivered a speech.

       At the meeting, eight cross-strait marine science and technology societies (the China Institute of Navigation, Chinese Society of Fisheries, China Marine Technology Research Institution (Taiwan), Taiwan Society of Fisheries, Fujian Navigation Institute, Fujian Society of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Fujian Society of Fisheries and Fujian Society for Oceanography)  held a signing ceremony of the cross-strait marine science and technology society consortium.
