The Asia Navigation Conference 2022 was held in Toyama, Japan

On November 5, 2022, the Asia Navigation Conference 2022, jointly sponsored by China Institute of Navigation, Korea Institute of Navigation and Harbor Society and Japan Institute of Navigation, opened in Toyama, Japan, and was held online through ZOOM platform. The Asian Navigational Academic Conference is a regional academic exchange activity of navigation jointly sponsored by the Chinese, Japanese and Korean Institutes of Navigation, which has witnessed 21 successful sessions since 2002. The theme of this year's conference is "New Generation of Navigation and Port Research in Asia", which is hosted by the JIN.

Mr. He Jianzhong, President of China Institute of Navigation, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. President He said that Asian countries have similar industrial structures and common concerns in the field of navigation, which lays a good foundation for cooperation. All departments in navigation should strengthen the research and development of new energy applications and low-carbon emission reduction technologies in the shipping industry, promote the deep integration of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data with the shipping industry so as to further the exchange and cooperation of the maritime industry in Asia, integrate the chain of transformation of Industry-Academia-Research-Application achievements, improve the overall efficiency of the innovation chain, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the Asian maritime industry.

On November 5th and 6th, the conference was held to exchange papers in groups, and 54 papers recommended by the Chinese, Korean and Japanese Institute Navigation participated in the exchange presentations and selection. The CIN organized more than 50 domestic experts and authors to attend the meeting and submitted 32 papers, China, Japan and South Korea occupied the first places. After the evaluation, Hu Xiaoyuan and Shen Daoming of CTTIC Smart Data won the excellent paper for their paper "Research on Intelligent Port Theory and Countermeasures Based on Internet of Things Technology", and Zhang Jiayi, Qi Le, Liu Jingxian of Wuhan University of Technology won the distinguished paper for their paper "Simulation Analysis of Leakage, Diffusion and Explosion of Ships Carrying Dangerous Goods While Waiting for Anchorage".
