Maritime Day of China forum is the home event at the national level of Maritime Day of China on July 11 every year. The 2021 Maritime Day of China Forum will be held in Kunming, Yunnan Province on July 11, co-hosted by the China Institute of Navigation, Kunming Municipal People's government, the Research Institute of Water Transportation Science of the Ministry of Transport and China Communications Construction Group Co., Ltd. This year's theme is "start a new voyage, create a new future for shipping", which mainly includes the main forum and opening ceremony, China International Ship Technology and safety forum, China International seafarer forum, port and shipping enterprise development forum, collaborative governance and development forum for basins and sea areas, high quality Development Forum for inland navigation, Navigation Culture Forum and Dianchi sustainable development seminar. During the Maritime Day of China, mass activities, such as Zhenghe Cultural Tourism Festival, the opening ceremony of the Chinese Zhenghe Navigation Billboard, will also be held in Kunming.
The meeting discussed the scheme of the 2021 Maritime Day of China forum and its sub forums, as well as the composition of the Organizing Committee and the Secretariat of the forum, and made arrangements for the next work. The meeting stressed that it is necessary to implement the spirit of the special meeting of the Ministry of Transport on Maritime Day activities, and to organize the work of the 2021 Maritime Day of China forum under the guidance of the Organizing Committee of Maritime Day of China in accordance with the principles of "prominent theme, appropriate scale, rich content, frugal and pragmatic style". This year is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan. Maritime Day of China forum activities should highlight the characteristics of the times and focus on the themes of speeding up the construction of a transpor power, helping to build a national comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network, and serving to build a new development pattern. The organization of the forum should clarify responsibilities, refine plans, strengthen coordination, and strictly implement the requirements of epidemic prevention and control.
