In the afternoon of August 21, 2026, Liu Shun, Secretary-General of China Institute of Navigation (CIN), led delegation to COSCO Shipping Seafarer Management Co., Ltd. for a research and exchange visit. Attendees also include Weng Yi, President and Party Committee Secretary of the company; Zhu Maijin, Director, General Manager, and Deputy Party Committee Secretary; and Pan Shaoqiang, Deputy General Manager.
Liu Shun introduced the work and organizational structure of CIN, and exchanged views on matters including talent recommendation, journal development, and the release of maritime science and technology reports. Weng Yi stated that CIN is highly professional and well-managed, and expressed the company’s willingness to strengthen cooperation in areas such as enhancing seafarers’ sense of honor and social status and serving national strategic needs. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening exchanges and cooperation and promoting the high-quality development of the maritime industry and the seafarer workforce.
