Two Grand-Prize Achievements of CIN Win 2025 State Scientific and Technological Progress Award
On July 8, the National Science and Technology Awarding Conference, the Conference of Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the 11th National Congress of the China Association for Science and Technology were convened in Beijing, at which the list of winners of the 2025 State Science and Technology Awards was officially released.
The projects Key Technologies, Equipment and Application for the Construction of Steel-Shelled Concrete Immersed Tube Tunnel of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link and Key Technologies, Equipment and Application for Autonomous Positioning and Navigation of Vessels in All Sea Areas—with the Grand-Prize projects of the 2024 Science and Technology Awards of China Institute of Navigation (CIN) as their core achievements—were awarded the First Prize and Second Prize of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award, respectively. Spanning the fields of cross-sea channel engineering and ship navigation equipment, the two achievements represent the innovative accomplishments independently developed in China's navigation sector.
Over the years, CIN has been committed to recommending and promoting industry science and technology award projects, identifying high-quality innovative achievements in the industry, and encouraging scientific research breakthroughs and technology transfer in the navigation field. Going forward, the Institute will continue to leverage its platform role, cultivate and recommend more high-level scientific and technological achievements, and provide scientific and technological support for accelerating the building of a strong transportation nation and a strong maritime nation.
