During the 2026 China Maritime Day celebrations, the 2026 Exhibition of Maritime Science, Technology and Education Achievements hosted by China Institute of Navigation was open to the public at the venue of the 2026 China Maritime Day Forum in Yangzhou from July 10 to 12.

At 8:30 a.m. on July 11, Ma Shiguang, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government; former senior officials of the Ministry of Transport including Huang Zhendong, Hong Shanxiang, Hu Xijie, Gao Hongfeng and He Jianzhong; Members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Ma Weiming, Zhu Yingfu, He Lin, Hu Ya’an and Tan Jiahua; Carlos Guedes Soares, Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Member of the Portuguese Academy of Engineering; Xu Lirong, Former Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING Group Co., Ltd. and Chairman of China Shipowners’ Mutual Assurance Association; Song Hailiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Communications Construction Group Co., Ltd.; Lin Ji, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of COSCO SHIPPING Group Co., Ltd.; Feng Boming, Deputy General Manager of China Merchants Group; together with principal leading officials of the Yangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, visited the 2026 Exhibition of Maritime Science, Technology and Education Achievements accompanied by Yan Xinping, President of China Institute of Navigation, Li Shixin, Executive Vice President, and Liu Shun, Secretary-General of the Institute.


Due to limited exhibition space at the forum venue, the Exhibition of Maritime Science, Technology and Education Achievements collected materials for 38 display boards from a total of 28 organizations. These participants include 8 central state-owned enterprises such as China Communications Construction Group and China Energy Investment Corporation; 11 institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Transport including the Ministry of Transport Rescue and Salvage Bureau and China Academy of Transportation Sciences; and 9 universities and research institutes such as Dalian Maritime University, Wuhan University of Technology and Shanghai Maritime University. Exhibitors cover major enterprises and public institutions engaged in marine-related sectors across China. The exhibition mainly showcases cutting-edge technologies and innovative achievements in maritime science, technology, education and relevant fields developed by the above organizations, as well as selected projects that won the Special Prize and First Prize of the 2025 CIN Science and Technology Award.
The Exhibition of Maritime Science, Technology and Education Achievements aims to establish an interactive mechanism that closely integrates technology-driven innovation, talent cultivation, theoretical research and achievement transformation. It will accelerate the upgrading of the maritime industry, popularize maritime culture, raise public awareness of the ocean, and support the high-quality development of maritime undertakings.
