On the morning of 14 November 2025, Mr. Liu Xin, President of Transport Planning and Research Institute, Ministry of Transport, led a special delegation to China Institute of Navigation (CIN) for work talks with Executive Vice-chairman Li Shixin and secretariat leaders.

President Liu first congratulated CIN on relocating to its new premises and briefing their Institute’s mandate and the latest progress in integrated transport planning, strategic research, sci-tech innovation and talent development. He stressed that CIN, as a leading academic organization in the maritime field, plays a vital role in promoting technological innovation, academic exchange and talent development, and expressed the hope that the two sides will expand cooperation and deepen collaboration in scientific and technological innovation and market application of scientific and technological advances to contribute wisdom and strength to China’s self-reliance and self-improvement in high-level maritime science and technology.

Executive Vice-chairman Li warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude to Transportation Planning & Design Research Institute for its long-standing support. He noted the two sides have always maintained close cooperation with aligned goals in advancing maritime and transport development. Looking forward, the two sides will further integrate resources and deepen synergies in maritime sci-tech innovation, joint construction of academic platforms and joint talent cultivation, so as to make new and greater contributions to building a transport-strong nation.
Both sides agreed on the solid cooperation foundation with CIN as a standing unit of CIN and the supporting institution of the Water-Transport Planning & Technology-Economics Specialized Committee, Transportation Planning and& Design Research Institute. In the near future, they shall further refine the operation mechanism of the branch committee and jointly push cooperation to a deeper and more practical level.
