The 9th Standing Committee Conference of the 8th Council of CIN Held in Shanghai

On the afternoon of November 15, the 9th Standing Committee Conference of the 8th Council of CIN was held in Shanghai Yuanyang Hotel. A total number of 35 participants attended the conference, including CIN Chairman Huang Youfang, CIN Vice Chairman Cao Di, CIN Vice Chairman Ding Pingsheng, Wang Qun, CIN Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General Gu Weiguo, executive members and other relevant representatives. This conference was presided over by Cao Di.

The conference conveyed the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and reviewed and approved the Work Report of the 8th CIN Council, Work Report of the First CIN Board of Supervisors, Financial Statement of the 8th CIN Council, List of New Unit Member and Individual Member, and Review Report on the Membership of the 9th CIN National Congress. The conference reviewed and validated the The draft Regulations of CIN, Candidates for the 9th CIN Council and Candidates for 2nd CIN Board of Supervisors, and agreed to submit the above documents to the 9th National Assembly.

                  

Huang Youfang concluded in his sum-up: firstly, he extended great thanks to China Association for Science and Technology , Ministry of Transport , the 7th CIN Council, the Vice Chairman Institution, the Executive Director, the Director Unit, the Brother Institutes, other units and leaders for their trust, concern and support. Secondly, the 8th CIN Council carried through inheritance, transformation and development in the past four years while new momentum was being driven by. Thirdly, China’s navigation played an important role in national development and security. It was the common wish that all units would continue to render care and support to CIN in its effort to play a greater role in the National Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road. Finally, Huang Youfang put forward some suggestions. The shipping industry gradually shifted from the era of automation and informatization to the era of intelligence. In the world shipping sector, “we should not only continue to make the traditional shipping bigger and stronger, but also pay attention to the development trend of high-tech and new rules in the shipping field to meet the new challenges of shipping technology development”.
