On the afternoon of June 4th, Huang Youfang, Chairman of CIN, led a delegation to visit China Association for Science and Technology(CAST) and was received with great affectionby Song Jun, the party members of CAST and the Secretary of the Secretariat, Liu Xingping (Director level), Chen Rui, both Vice Minister of the Academic Department. Cao Di, Executive Deputy President of CIN, Gu Weiguo, Deputy Secretary General and other relevant personnel accompanied the visit.
On behalf of CIN, President Huang Youfang reported on the progress of the preparations for the 2019 World Maritime Conference and the activities related to the 40th anniversary of the establishment of CIN. He said that CIN has the confidence and ability to successfully carry out these two major events this year, which will lay a solid foundation for the improvement of its own capabilities and the expansion of its influence in the world's maritime fields.
Song Jun expressed his appreciation for the work done by CIN in serving the national strategy and improving its ability in recent years. He also said that CAST strongly supported CIN to host the 2019 World Maritime Conference as well as the 40th anniversary of CIN, hoping that CIN would continue to strengthen self-capacity building and make great strides towards the goal of the world first-class society by pivoting on the national strategy, tough issues and hotspots in the maritime field.
