On June 27 to 28, the 21st CAST (China Association for Science and Technology) hosted a forum called Development and Governance of Science and Technology Societies in Harbin at its annual meeting. Huang Youfang, Chairman of CIN chaired the closed-door meeting of the forum held on the morning of the 28th July.
Focusing on the theme of “the Mission and Challenge of the Science and Technology Society in the era of Great Change”, this forum explored the status and value of the society in the global technology innovation and governance system, and framed out the development direction and strategy.
On the afternoon of the 28th, Huang Youfang, on behalf of the CIN, detailed the practices and experiences of the CIN in the service of its members and the national strategy in the keynote report delivered at the Sub-forum——Membership Work Group.
At the forum, the catalogue of socialized public service products of the national institutes was released with 166 high-quality products available. Three public service products of CIN were shortlisted among them. Gu Weiguo, Deputy Secretary-General of the CIN, introduced the products and related supporting policies of CIN.
