On March 15, according to the requirements of the Party Committee of the Science and Technology Association of China, “notice on convening the 2018 annual small gatherings of Party members of the branch of the Party Committee of the Science and Technology Association and carrying out the activities of democratic evaluation of Party members”(G.T.Z.Notice of the Party organization〔2019〕no.4), the Party branch of the CIN office held the 2018 annual small gatherings of Party members and carrying out the activities of democratic evaluation of Party members. Comrade Chen Chenguang, Director of the Party Committee Organization Department of the Science and Technology Association of China, and Comrade Cao Di, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the CIN, attended the meeting. Comrade Gu Weiguo and Comrade Yang Binxu attended the meeting as well.
The meeting was presided over by Wang Qun, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Administrative Office. According to the agenda of the meeting, the relevant documents of the China Association for Science and Technology were re-learned at the meeting. Comrade Wang Qun reported the implementation of the rectification measures of the last small gathering of Party members. Comrade Liu Yang reported the preparations for organizing the meeting. On behalf of the Party branch, Comrade Wang Qun, reviewed the work of the Party branch in the past year and conducted a cross-check about political leadership, strict supervision and management of Party members’ daily education, contact with the masses, and improvement of work style. And he analyzed the existing problems and causes, and proposed targeted measures.Then Secretary of the Party branch and other members of the branch respectively carried out criticism and self-criticism according to the requirements of the meeting. Then, in accordance with the regulations, the democratic evaluation of Party branches and Party members and comrades in offices was conducted.
Subsequently, Comrade Cao Di, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the CIN, commented on the meeting. He believed that the meeting was very successful and well prepared. He also carried out criticism and self-criticism on the basis of seeking truth from facts, and pointed out the problems and deficiencies straightforwardly and offered suggestions for improvement. That enhanced the mutual understanding among Party members, condensed consensus, and achieved the effect of "unity, criticism and unity".He also expressed hopes on how to strengthen the construction of Party branches of the Administrative Office in the new era and how to better play the core role of Party branches as well as the model role of Party members.
Comrade Chen Chenguang, Director of the Party Committee Organization Department of the Science and Technology Association, put forward guiding advice on how to strengthen the theoretical study, carry out Party building work, and give full play to the role of grassroots Party organizations.
