Su Xiaojun, deputy director of the CAST Academic Department paid a research visit to CIN, accompanied with Zhang Chuncheng, division chief and Dong Guobin, vice chief from the management office. Yu Shicheng, vice chairman of the Standing Committee and Wang Qun, secretary general of CIN together with the related staff from the general office extended their warm welcome.
Deputy Director Su first went around to meet the staff and commended for the office environment and their work passion. Then the guest-host communication was carried out on the policies and key tasks. .
Yu Shicheng reported the basic conditions of CIN from historical timeline, organizational structure, functions and responsibilities and switched to the current key works and envision on future plans. Wang Qun, the general secretary of CIN, added to report the current procedure of the project assigned from CASF.
Deputy Director Su asked about the academic exchange and the CAST projects implementation. He also exchanged his view on several aspects including the party building, innovation and reform, academic exchanges, branch management, government functions sharing and supporting capacity-building.
Finally, Deputy Director Su stressed that CIN should achieve the inner strength and set an example in the industry. To be more specific, in order to reach this goal five points are of vital importance. Firstly, we should seize the opportunity to accelerate development. Secondly, we should have the concept of internationalization so as to build a world-class Institute. Thirdly, we should customized top-level design for the development and overall management of professional committees needs in order to enlarge the influence of Chinese Institute of Navigation. Fourthly, we should attach importance to the individual members, trying to reach a large breakthrough in Institute scale. Fifthly, we should strive to build a platform to internationalize our academic organizations of navigation.
