In recent years, WUT has actively carried out various forms of science popularization activities with two navigation science popularization bases of the Maritime Museum and the Digital Planetarium, which receive more than 200 groups, 7,000 people from both inside and outside the university per year. This allowed the audience to feel the enthusiastic atmosphere and wonderful moments of the entire navigation science popularization season in a more intuitive way. Young representatives from Wuhan Maritime Bureau and WUT delivered passionate speeches entitled “Nation of Navigation Power, Youth's Responsibility” and “Technology Empowers Navigation, Innovation Leads the Future”.

Themed on "Exploring Smart Navigation and Pursuing Future Ocean Dreams", the national navigation science popularization season aims to popularize navigation knowledge, promote navigation culture, carry on the spirit of navigation, so as to contribute to China's navigation industry, help build the power of maritime, of transportation, and science and technology. During the Science Popularization Season, China Institute of Navigation organized more than 200 navigation science popularization activities, with more than 100,000 participants online and offline. 65 serial lectures of "Craftsmen’s Talk about Navigation", sponsored by China Institute of Navigation, have been held, with over 20,000 people in attendance and nearly 40,000 online participants. 22 national navigation science education bases organized more than 30 activities, with over 10,000 visitors.China Institute of Navigation, in collaboration with more than 50 platforms, including the Ministry of Transport of People’s Republic of China, the CYLC Central Committee, China Science Popularization, Transportation Publishing, China Water Transport News, etc, released 15 sets of pulicity posters of science popularization and 210 pieces of science popularization graphics, text, and audio-visual materials, with nearly 500 reports or reposts of relevant information, reaching over 4 million people, and accumulating nearly 10 million online views.
