Notice on Collecting Major Achievements in the Field of Navigation for the 2023 Maritime Day of China Main Forum

All departments concerned:

In order to discover and publicize the achievements and progress made in China’s navigation and related fields in 2022, encourage and praise the units and individuals who have made outstanding achievements, and stimulate the enthusiasm of the general nautical science and technology workers to adhere to the problem-oriented, integrity and innovation, according to the overall plan of the 2023 Maritime Day Activity Week, major achievements and important information in the navigation field will be released at the main forum and the launch ceremony of the 2023 Maritime Day of China. Now we start the collection of “Significant Achievements in the field of Navigation in 2022”. The specific requirements are as follows:

I. Collection objects

    Shipping enterprises, universities and research institutes, etc.

II. Collection Range

1. Having built projects in the field of navigation that have great influence at the international level;
2. Having won awards or titles with international influence in the field of navigation;
3. Having made breakthroughs in ship or port engineering;
4. Having organized high-level international conferences, forums or events;
5. Having published articles related to the field of navigation in the world’s top ten academic journals, eg. Nature, Science, PNAS, Advanced Materials, Nature Communications;
6. Having made breakthroughs and solved engineering technical problems in the field of navigation;
7. Other important achievements or information related to the field of navigation.

III. The way of collection

     Please send the Information Collection Form of Significant Achievements in the Field of Navigation for the 2023 Maritime Day of China Main Forum (Annex 1) with the official seal of  unit to maorf@cinnet.cn before May 20^th, 2023.

IV. Relevant requirements

     After the selection by China Institute of Navigation, the results of collected significant achievements will be publicly released at the launching ceremony of the 2023 Maritime Day of China Main Forum and Activity Week. Please declassify the confidential information before filling the form.
