CIN Expert Review Meeting on Candidates for Young Talents Cultivating Project in Shanghai

On October 22, 2018, the China Institute of Navigation convened Expert Review on Recommended Candidates from Young Talents Cultivating Project of CIN for 2018-2020 in Shanghai in response to the Notice on the Project Application of the Fourth Young Talents Cultivating Project by the General Office of China Association for Science and Technology and the Notice on Convening the Appraisal Meeting on the Association of  Civil-military Integration ‘Young Talents Cultivating Project’ by CAST.

As a mechanism for selecting and training talents, Young Talents Cultivating Project is an important act for CAST to explore innovative talents in science and technology, who are expected to become leaders in science and technology. It is of great significance for the affiliated National Association of CAST to advance talents' cultivation and improve their developing conditions. This has been increasingly valued by each Society.

In accordance with the pertinent managements and procedures, the institute invites seven experts to form an evaluation group for higher quality and effectiveness, to review the application materials submitted by member units and to hear the advice of recommended candidates including their personal statements, research achievements, developing goals, tutor teams, fundamental resources, etc. Then on-site inquiries and defense are followed. After discussion and evaluation, the experts confirm the recommended candidates by spot scoring.

As a full member of China's Association of Civil-military Integration of CAST, it's the first time for CIN to carry out the work of recommendation for Young Talents Cultivating Project through the channel of integrated association. The recommended candidates confirmed by the experts will also compete with those recommended by other societies to tussle for a few places.
