On February 25, Qin Ling, Party Secretary and General Manager of CHIMBUSCO, led a delegation to visit the China Institute of Navigation (CIN) and held a working meeting with Li Shixin, Executive Vice President of CIN, and relevant leaders of the CIN Secretariat.
During the meeting, Secretary-General Liu Shun provided a detailed overview of CIN’s recent progress and achievements in areas such as internal governance, academic exchange, member development and services, talent recommendation in science and technology, scientific advisory and evaluation, development of group standards, and flagship journal construction.
Secretary Qin Ling highlighted CHIMBUSCO’s practices and accomplishments in promoting the application of new marine energy sources and exploring pathways for green and low-carbon development. He noted that CIN is a key academic organization and industry platform in the field of maritime science and technology, and expressed CHIMBUSCO’s desire to further deepen practical cooperation with CIN in areas such as member services, cutting-edge project collaboration, and green shipping standard development.
The two sides then engaged in in-depth and practical discussions on consolidating existing cooperation foundations, enhancing business synergy, and exploring new areas for collaboration, including marine environmental protection technologies, industry talent cultivation, and industry-academia-research integration, reaching broad consensus.
In his concluding remarks, Executive Vice President Li Shixin welcomed Secretary Qin Ling and his delegation, and thanked CHIMBUSCO for its long-standing strong support for CIN’s work. He stated that CIN would actively leverage its role as a bridge and platform to fully support the development of its member units, and expressed hope that both sides would take this meeting as an opportunity to establish a closer and more efficient cooperation mechanism, jointly contributing to the high-quality development of China’s shipping industry and the building of a transportation powerhouse.
After the meeting, CIN presented a commemorative ship model to CHIMBUSCO.
