The Ministry of Transport Activated Level I Emergency Response for Typhoon Defense.

     In accordance with the Comprehensive Emergency Plan for Transportation and typhoon defense procedures, the Ministry of Transport has now upgraded the emergency response to Level I. The emergency response with the Ministry of Transport will work with relevant departments and bureaus to fully do all the typhoon defense work well.

     All highways within the areas of Xiamen, Zhangzhou, and Quanzhou in Fujian Province have been temporarily closed due to the influence of the typhoon, according to the Ministry of Transport. This closure affects a total of 116 toll stations, with 16 sections implementing mainline diversion control measures. In the Longyan area, 25 toll stations (involving 7 highways) have been temporarily closed. In Zhejiang Province, 7 sections (involving 6 highways and 26 toll stations) have been subject to temporary control or closure. In Guangdong Province, 13 sections (covering 12 highways, 1 national road, and 43 toll stations) have been temporarily closed.

     Typhoon "Dusurui," the 5th typhoon of this year and categorized as a super typhoon, was located at 8:00 AM on the 28th at a position approximately 80 kilometers southeast of Jinjiang City in Fujian Province, according to the meteorological bureau. The typhoon had maximum wind of 16 levels near its center. It is predicted to move in a northwesterly direction at a speed of 20 to 25 kilometers per hour.
