Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Transportation Department held the deployment conference about enhancing the effectiveness of common highway service facilities, mobilized all local governments to strengthen the supply capacity of service facilities, innovate the development mode of service facilities, and improve the service quality of service facilities. This year, Jiangsu launched the three-year action to enhance the effectiveness of ordinary highway service facilities, optimize the layout of ordinary state and provincial roads service facilities, and promote the main road service facilities spacing control in about 50 kilometers. It wishes that there are no less than 15 new ordinary state and provincial roads service facilities by 2025.
This year, Jiangsu will improve the guidance service of the service facilities in the Internet map, achieve 100% of ordinary national and provincial highway service facilities in Baidu, AMAP and other navigation software; promote the creation of “drivers’ home”, by 2025 there will be no less than 10 stations of ordinary highway service facilities; accelerate the construction of service area charging infrastructure, by 2025 realizing 100% coverage rate; realize comprehensively video networking of ordinary national and provincial highway service facilities, promote the rural highway station into the rural highway construction, management, maintenance and transportation “a network of a platform” information system, access to local intelligent management and tourism and other travel information service platform.
It is understood that Jiangsu has initially formed a network of ordinary highway service facilities, and ordinary national and provincial highway service facilities have increased to 148 from 28 in the end of the “12th Five-Year” plan. Various places, combined with the construction of “four good rural road” demonstration counties and the beautiful rural highways, built and operated 207 rural road stations, successfully created 11 “drivers’ home”; the truck and minibus parking of ordinary national and provincial highway service facilities have increased to 1400 and 2800 respectively from 500 and 650 in the end of the “12th Five-Year” plan; 437 charging piles have been built for ordinary highway service facilities, and barrier-free facilities have achieved full coverage.
