Recently, the third briefing for annual economic events, economic figures, meritorious enterprises and enterprises and entrepreneurs contributing to poverty alleviation of Jiangxi Province was held in Nanchang. The “first promotion of building a province with strong transportation as a provincial development strategy of Jiangxi Province” was chosen as the annual top ten economic events of Jiangxi Province in the briefing, marking that the achievements of transportation development have been selected as the top ten economic events of Jiangxi Province for six consecutive years. Jiangxi Provincial Communications Investment Group Co., Ltd. won the title of “The Enterprise Contributing to Poverty Alleviation for Jiangxi Province”.
Last year, the Jiangxi provincial Party committee and government officially proposed the strategy of building a province with strong transportation, signifying that the transportation development has been risen to a major provincial development strategy for the first time. In that year, the traffic mileage of expressways in the province increased by 20% year-on-year, and that of high-speed railways doubled, realizing the “city-to-city connection” of high-speed railways, the “county-to-county connection” of high-speed highways, and the “group-to-group connection” of asphalt roads.
It is known that the briefing for the recommendation of annual economic events, economic figures and meritorious enterprises of Jiangxi Province is the combination of the previous selection of top ten economic figures of Jiangxi Province and the annual top ten economic events and meritorious enterprises of Jiangxi Province. The briefing is led by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Jiangxi Province and jointly guided by the Jiangxi Development and Reform Commission and the Department of Transportation of Jiangxi Province.
