The East China Sea Rescue Bureau successfully rescued three people from a fishing boat that caught fire during the cold wave

At about 3:00 a.m. on November 27th, the rescue command duty room of Donghai Rescue Bureau received an alarm message from Lianyungang Maritime Search and Rescue Center that the fishing boat “Su Gan Yu 01586” caught fire about 7 nautical miles east of Sheyang port in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province with three people on board in distress and in urgent need of rescue.

After receiving the alarm message, the rescue command duty room of The East China Sea Rescue Bureau immediately verified the relevant information and dispatched the professional rescue ship The East China Sea Rescue 118” to the scene at full speed to rescue them, after confirming with Yancheng Maritime Search and Rescue Center that the fire of the ship had been extinguished, the towing fishing boat broke down due to the large wind and waves, in the process of towing, and the remaining three fishermen were waiting for rescue in the stern of the ship.

At 6:30 a.m., “The East China Sea Rescue 118” arrived in the waters of the incident and immediately launched a rescue operation by releasing the rescue boat. The sea conditions at the scene, with grade 6 fierce north wind and three-meter-high waves, brought great difficulties to rescue. After 15 minutes, the salvage crew on “The East China Sea Rescue 118” successfully picked up the three fishermen in distress to the boat and transferred them safely to "China Fisheries Administration 32528". The rescue mission came to a successful end.
