On February 4th, the Secretariat of the China Institute of Navigation held the "2024 Spring Festival Gathering". This gathering aimed to review the achievements of the past year, look forward to future development directions, boost confidence, strengthen communication, underline implementation, and encourage good solid work. Secretary-General Yan Xiaobo presided over the reception. Participants included He Jianzhong, Chairman of the Institute, Zhang Baochen, Executive Vice Chairman, Li Shixin, Vice Chairmen, Cao Di, Supervisor, Peng Yan, Liu Shun, Liu Ying, Deputy Secretaries-General and all staff members of the Secretariat.
The gathering began with a video recap that chronicles the events of the China Institute of Navigation in 2023. Secretary-General Yan Xiaobo reviewed the significant achievements made in various fields by the Institute in 2023.
Executive Vice Chairman Zhang Baochen expressed gratitude to all staff for their efforts over the past year and gave full recognition to their progress. Afterwards, Zhang Baochen conveyed the guiding principles of the 8th plenary session of the 10th National Committee of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). He urged all staff to carefully study the relevant documents of the meeting , better perform their duties, and contribute to achieving the annual work goals.
First，on behalf of the Institute, Chairman He Jianzhong extended Spring Festival greetings to everyone. He stressed the need for the Secretariat to focus on the 21 specific work tasks and the goal of basically building a first-class institute with Chinese characteristics set by the 6th Executive Council Meeting of the 9th session, and efforts should be made in the 4 services and the 5 commitments. We must build a team that is firm in political conviction, high-qualified, with excellent conduct, integrity and devotion; a team that is able to stand the test of any hardship or difficulty and be ready to meet challenges. He hoped that everyone would act from their professional mission, have the courage to take on responsibilities, treat the goal of creating a first-class institute with Chinese characteristics as their own cause, and be part of achieving sci-tech self-reliance and self-improvement at higher levels in the field of Chinese navigation.
Representatives of the outstanding employees of the Secretariat in 2023, Yue Peng, Chen Shijun, Li Tian, and Xu Jing, also spoke at the gathering. They shared their work experiences and insights, expressed confidence in the future development of the Institute.
