On January 17th, He Jianzhong, chairman of China Institute of Navigation(CIN), led a delegation inspect the vessel "Tongyuan" and extended greetings to all CCCC staff. Zhang Baochen, Vice chairman of the Standing Committee of CIN, Li Shixin, Vice chairman of CIN, Zhu Yufeng, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Communications News, Zhong Wenwei, Party Secretary and Chairman of CCCC-Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd., and Gu Ming, Chief Consultant were on the inspection tour.
Recently, the vessel "Tongyuan" and two other engineering vessels owned by CCCC-Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Group Co., Ltd., successfully completed thei overseas construction tasks, creating a historic breakthrough as Chinese construction vessels crossed the four oceans for the first time. Therefore, CIN sent a congratulatory letter to express congratulations, and extended high respect and cordial greetings to all CCCC staff.
He Jianzhong and his delegation observed the self-propelled system and dredging construction operation system of “Tongyuan” on site to learn in detail about the vessel's equipment capabilities and listened to the report on key tasks carried out during the vessel's ocean voyage, including equipment maintenance, safety protection and material supply, as well as the fleet management of dredging company. The delegation also extended greetings to all the crew members who have stood fast at the front line of construction and production.
He Jianzhong congratulated the three "advanced equipment for the country" on their successful return to China. He pointed out the difficulties faced during this ocean voyage, praised the construction fleet of the CCCC-Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd. for their courage and dedication in overcoming these difficulties, the historical breakthrough of China's large-scale trailing suction dredger crossing the four oceans for the first time. He commended that, as the company with a famous brand and a long tradition, CCCC-Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd. has maintained its resolve in reform and innovation, boosted industrial development, and showed its hard power in independent research and development of dredging equipment, illustrated a great sense of responsibility for remaining mindful of the country’s most fundamental interests. He said that CIN as a scientific and technological institute, is committed to navigation science popularization, scientific and technological services and academic exchanges. He hoped that the two sides would strengthen ties and deepen cooperation in carrying forward the maritime spirit in the new era, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and cultivate young talents in maritime science and technology. This collaboration aims to support the national strategic needs and contribute to achieving high-level self-reliance and strength in maritime science and technology.
