Chairman He Jianzhong Met with President and Secretary-General of the International Association of Institutes of Navigation

On October 17, He Jianzhong, Chairman of the China Institute of Navigation, met in Qingdao with Krzysztof Czaplewski, the President of the International Association of Institutes of Navigation (IAIN for short), and Hesham Helal, Secretary-General of the IAIN. They were in China to attend the World Conference on Maritime Science and Technology  (WCMST). The parties had an in-depth exchange of views on topics such as the preparations for the upcoming 2024 IAIN World Congress.

He Jianzhong, on behalf of the China Institute of Navigation, extended a warm welcome to President Krzysztof and Secretary-General Helal of the IAIN. He stated that the China Institute of Navigation attaches great importance to the preparations for the 2024 IAIN World Congress. Under the guidance of the IAIN and with the strong support of relevant units, the Institute will implement the agreed items and consensus this conference and the IAIN preparatory meeting one by one. The focus will be on selecting themes, inviting guests, building websites, facilitating paper exchanges, and ensuring the conference proceeded smoothly. These efforts aim to provide a platform for scientific and technological collaboration among researchers in the maritime and aviation fields from various countries.China Institute of Navigation (CIN) is ready to seize the opportunity provided by hosting the IAIN Conference to strengthen its ties with international peers and actively promote cross-disciplinary, cross-sectoral, and cross-regional exchanges and cooperation. As an important member and partner of the IAIN, the China Institute of Navigation(CIN) will continue to actively participate in the activities advocated by IAIN, support its efforts to unite and coordinate global forces, promote interdisciplinary development, and build a community of shared future for global shipping.

     On behalf of the IAIN, Krzysztof expressed gratitude to the China Institute of Navigation for its efforts in preparing for the IAIN Conference. He stated that in the past few years, the China Institute of Navigation has played an important role in IAIN and has actively engaged in preparation for the 2024 World Conference. He hoped that two sides will strengthen exchanges and cooperation and make every effort to deliver a spectacular international exchange event international exchange event. He also mentioned that IAIN has always attached great importance to collaboration with countries worldwide and hopes to further strengthen communication and cooperation with relevant Chinese entities.

     Zhang Baochen, Vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the China Institute of Navigation, along with Li Shixin, Vice Chairman, Yan Xiaobo, Secretary-General, and Peng Yan, Deputy Secretary-General, attended the meeting.
